The 26th Amendment
The twenty-sixth Amendment to the United States Constitution (the second most recent one) is not that “young” as some of us would think. The 26th amendment turned 50 years of glory in March 2021. So, Americans having the right to vote as soon as they turn 18 has only been on the legislative books for just the last 50 years.
