Ricky Gervais
Ricky Gervais is an English-born actor, comedian, actor, writer, director, producer, and musician. He began his career in 1982, and despite his success, fame is not something that impresses him.
Even though he likes aspects of his job, he has repeatedly mentioned in interviews that he can’t grasp why anybody would want fame. Nowadays, he is well known for roasting his co-workers and being judged for taking jokes too far (see any awards show he has ever presented) . But the reality is that, even though celebs take exception to his more controversial jokes, there’s no evidence that the Hollywood establishment as a whole hates him.
If he were, he would probably be blackballed in the entertainment industry. The irony is that this resistance he has towards fame, is probably what contributes to his popularity.
