While Johnny Depp has made a career playing quirky characters, Vin Diesel has made a career playing no-nonsense tough guys in roles like Riddick, Xander Cage in XXX and Dominic Toretto in the Fast & Furious franchise, so it might be surprising to learn that he is somewhat of a super nerd and a massive fan of the fantasy tabletop roleplay game “Dungeons & Dragons”.
Diesel is such a massive fan that not only has he been a devotee to the game for 37 years, he actually wrote the forward for the 2004 commemorative book ’30 Years of Adventure: A Celebration of Dungeons & Dragons’ and while filming XXX he even had a fake tattoo on his chest of his D&D character Melkor on his chest.
