Susan Sarandon
Our previous entry Tom Hanks may have played a fictional character that was obsessed with ping pong in the 1994, Robert Zemeckis directed classic, ‘Forrest Gump’, but Susan Sarandon has taken that obsession to greater levels by opening a bar/restaurant/”ping pong social club” dedicated to the sport in New York in 2009.
Not content with just having one establishment dedicated to her favorite pass time, in 2016, Sarandon would develop her passion for the game into a whole new business venture by co-founding (with then boyfriend screenwriter Jonathan Bricklin) SPiN, a ping pong parlor that now has locations across North America.
