It’s always wise to use sunscreen, but if it’s not stored properly, you could be using it in vain. Sunscreen products’ effectiveness is significantly reduced when exposed to heat. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, a sunscreen’s shelf life decreases hugely if left at high temperatures.
If you really want to protect your skin, next time you travel, make sure to store your sunscreen products at moderate room temperature, not on the backseat of your car.
