Danny Trejo
While you’re probably used to seeing Danny Trejo in villain roles, in real life he’s the exact opposite. In 2019, when he witnessed a deadly collision that caused one of the cars to end upside down, he did what any hero would do and stopped to help.
A baby was strapped into a car seat, but Trejo wasted no time in trying to pull the baby out with the help of another bystander. At first, he couldn’t unbuckle the seatbelt, but with a little bit of help, the two were able to save the child.
At the scene, the actor mentioned how “Everything good that has happened to me has happened as a direct result of helping someone else. Everything.” Now those truly are words to live by.
Idris Elba
In 2019, while on stage during a performance of “Tree” at Upper Campfield Market Hall in Manchester, Idris Elba spotted something disturbing in the audience. There, a woman was having a seizure, so he stopped his performance and rushed to help her.
When the woman recovered, she saw none other than the famous actor by her side, who then waited and accompanied her to an ambulance.
Benedict Cumberbatch
Between saving the day as Sherlock Holmes or sleeping on a pile of gold as Smaug, the dragon in The Hobbit, Benedict Cumberbatch is a real-life hero, much like his Marvel character, Dr. Strange.
While in London in 2018, from the backseat of his Uber ride, Cumberbatch saw a delivery person being assaulted by four men. None of them could have expected him and the Uber driver to jump in, dodging punches while yelling at them to leave the Deliveroo worker alone.
Their actions that day saved the man’s life after the four attackers eventually fled.
