Many people consider celebrities as heroes. Whether they’re sporting legends that saved their teams at the last minute or they bring certain problematic issues to light, the fact that millions of people look up to them is undeniable.

Some stars, however, have gone above and beyond. Today, we thought we would showcase 20 celebrities who are real-life heroes. When the time came for them to step up, they did- some of them in spectacular fashion.

Leonardo DiCaprio

On New Year’s Eve, nothing could have prepared DiCaprio and his girlfriend Camila Morrone for a quest to save a man’s life. As they were celebrating near St. Barts, the captain of the boat received a chilling message, a man had fallen overboard from a cruise ship.

Instead of ignoring the message, the couple joined the efforts to find and save the man’s life. They were near the island of Saba when DiCaprio spotted the man. He brought him on board and then waited for the Coast Guard to come and take care of him.

Dolly Parton

While filming Netflix’s “Christmas on the Square,” Dolly Parton pulled her 9-year-old co-star out of the path of an oncoming vehicle. Talia Hill, the actress in question, recalled the event for Inside Edition, saying that Parton shook her and hugged her tightly after the incident.

But that’s not the least bit surprising seeing as Dolly Parton has long since been known for her altruism, even donating $1 million to Vanderbilt University’s coronavirus research, effectively helping to create the Moderna vaccine.
