John Lennon
Let’s start with arguably one of the most famous people in the world, the legendary singer/songwriter and co-founder of probably the biggest band ever, John Lennon. Lennon had a difficult childhood, with an absentee father and a mother who sadly passed away when he was still just a teenager (something he and Paul McCartney bonded over as he also lost hos mother at a young age).
Essentially raised by his aunt Mimi, the future rock and roll legend would spend his spare time doing what all aspiring musical geniuses would do, (not really) he collected stamps! Lennon took his philatelist pass time so seriously, that his personal and quite extensive collection went on display at the World Stamp Show in New York in 2016, following a residency at the Smithsonian National Postal Museum.
