Howard Johnson’s

If you’re not from Lake George, New York, you can’t enjoy Howard Johnson’s, a.k.a. HoJo’s restaurant anymore. From more than 1,000 HoJo’s locations across the country, only one remained today. It is such a disappointment since Howard Johnson’s ice cream was the best.

And it’s not just HoJo’s ice cream we miss the most, but its consistent food quality, too. Sadly, not too long after its peak… in the mid-1980s, to be more precise, Howard Johnson’s was sold to Marriott. As a result, the company was converted into Marriott-owned Big Boy restaurants.

If you really miss HoJo’s delicious memories, Lake George is the only place to be.
