Official All-Star Cafe

Nowadays, celebrity-owned restaurants are no surprise, but in the mid-1990s, it was kind of new. The All-Star Cafe opened back in 1995 in New York City’s Times Square, and the company was backed by superstars like Wayne Gretzky, Joe Montana, and Shaquille O’Neal.

In the 34,000-square-foot restaurant, you were able to find sports bar-style food like pasta, sandwiches, burgers, and booze. It was the perfect place to watch games due to its dozens of TVs. The All-Star Cafe soon opened locations in Cancun, Mexico, and Las Vegas.

Sadly, the company wasn’t always on the ball… As a result, the celebrity-owned restaurant chain filed for bankruptcy in 1999.
