Bennigan’s

The American restaurateur responsible for the creation of completely new business concepts within the restaurant field, Norman Brinker, was also the founder of Bennigan’s. Created in 1976, the restaurant gained popularity due to its Irish pub vibe.

Sadly, in 2008, the company declared bankruptcy, and some say that the chain’s overexpansion led to it. Why? Experts think that Brinker’s biggest mistake was the fact that he didn’t wait to come up with signature dishes like other popular restaurant chains.

Yet, Bennigan’s managed to rise from the ashes under new ownership. Today, the restaurant chain has 33 locations across the U.S., and even though the new owners tried to preserve its Irish vibe, some think that Bennigan’s is not the same anymore.
