10 of the Weirdest People Who Have Ever Ran for President

Jack Shepard

Most people, you would assume, run for president because they want to serve their country, but Jack Shepard wants to be president so he doesn’t have to serve time in jail. This former Minneapolis dentist, who now lives in Rome, has been on the run since 1982 after he allegedly setting fire to his own home. He was already a convicted felon, having served time in Stillwater state prison for criminal sexual conduct and drug possession.

He has stated that if he were elected in the 2020 race, he could not be convicted of a crime, citing President Donald Trump’s lawyer who argued in a federal court a president cannot be prosecuted for a crime. So we could have our first presidential fugitive from justice.
